Shali

I am a proud mother of two wonderful children. I hold a bachelors degree in Commerce. My interests include children, medical science, studying, and contributing to making a good society.

As an experienced mother, child care is my natural instinct. Before opening my own home daycare, I completed my First Aid and CPR training and a clinical medical assistant course. Child Care Links provided me the early training required for opening and operating a professional day care. I love to learn and increase my understanding; every month I try to take a new course or two that are directly related to the childcare profession.

I am currently taking Early Childhood Development classes in order to expand the daycare into a preschool.

Being a Master of Computer Science, I am a software professional since 1990. I help Shali in her daycare business by providing my experties in business management and administration. I love children, and understand their parent's need. I enjoy talking to them and helping them by addressing their child care related needs.

I am a student at UC Davis where I am studying to get my bachelors degree in Genetics. I am interested in pursuing a career in Medicine and becoming a Pediatrician. Whenever I get a chance to come home, I like to play with children in my Mom’s care and read them stories. Along with English I can fluently communicate in Marathi and German. I also follow Hindi very well.

I was the president of a German Club at Foothill High School where I graduated from in 2011. I also actively volunteered with the American Red Cross and Public Library. At Davis, I am Historian of the American Red Cross Club, a research assistant at the Genomic Variation Lab, and an intern at the Health Education and Promotion Program.

Abhi

I am a full time student at Pleasanton Middle School. I love science, Vsauce is my favorite! In my school, I am on the Destination Imagination Team. I am also into sports; I am on the school Basketball and Wrestling teams and I have been playing soccer in the city rec league since the past 5 years. I enjoy playing music too. I play the guitar and saxaphone. Since 6th grade, I have been learning to read and speak Spanish. In Hearst Elementary School, I was a conflict manager.

I love my Mom's daycare; I like entertaining the kids. They love my magic shows and bird tricks (I have parakeets as pets. The name of my favorite one is Gunter).
